What you get

What's in a Porsche build sheet

1 Vehicle identity VIN, model and generation (992, 982, 9YA…), engine, transmission, production date and delivery market.
2 Every factory option code The complete option list recorded against your VIN with Porsche's own descriptions — including X-codes and individual equipment.
3 Paint & interior codes The original exterior colour and interior trim codes — the quickest way to verify an original paint claim.

Example — from a real report

030 Sports chassis
220 Locking rear differential
446 Wheel centres with Porsche crest
650 Electric sunroof
X51 Power kit — engine performance increase

Descriptions use Porsche's factory terminology. A typical report lists 60–150 codes.

Use cases

Why Porsche owners order a build sheet

Buying a used Porsche

Verify the spec in the advert against the factory record — matching numbers, original paint, and whether that GTS package is genuine.

Selling with confidence

A documented factory spec supports your asking price — desirable options like X51 or PCCB are worth showing, not claiming.

Restoration & parts

Order the right parts first time and return a project car to its exact original specification, down to the trim code.

Insurance & valuation

Agreed-value policies and specialist valuations often ask for proof of factory options — the build sheet is that proof.

Frequently asked

Porsche build sheet FAQs

Which Porsche models are covered?

Factory build data is available for 911, 718 Boxster and Cayman, Cayenne, Macan, Panamera and Taycan. Coverage varies by model year — the free preview confirms availability for your exact VIN before you pay.

Is this the same as a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity?

No — the Certificate of Authenticity is a paper document issued by Porsche Classic, typically taking several weeks. A build sheet contains the same core factory data — options, paint and trim codes — delivered as a PDF in minutes at a fraction of the cost.

What are Porsche X-codes?

X-codes are Porsche Exclusive options — factory-fitted individual equipment such as the X51 power kit. Because they're recorded on the build sheet, it's the definitive way to prove a genuine Exclusive car.

Do I need the VIN, or will the UK reg work?

Either works. For UK-registered cars the reg is enough — we resolve the VIN automatically. For imports or unregistered vehicles, use the 17-character VIN.

Is service history available for Porsche?

Yes — a digital service record PDF is available as a +£5.00 add-on for UK and European market Porsches.

Where does the data come from?

Directly from official manufacturer build records, keyed to your VIN — the same data a franchised Porsche Centre sees. It can't be edited by a seller and doesn't rely on paperwork surviving.
