Which BMW models are covered?

Factory build data is available for 1–8 Series, X and Z models, M cars and i models. Coverage varies by model year — the free preview confirms availability for your exact VIN before you pay.

Is this the same as a BMW Group Classic certificate?

No — BMW Group Classic archive documents are issued on request and can take several weeks. A build sheet contains the same core factory data — options, paint and trim codes — delivered as a PDF in minutes at a fraction of the cost.

What are BMW S-codes?

S-codes are BMW’s internal option codes — every factory-fitted option is recorded against your VIN as a code with a description, including M Sport packages and BMW Individual equipment. Because they're recorded on the build sheet, it's the definitive way to prove a genuine factory specification.

Do I need the VIN, or will the UK reg work?

Either works. For UK-registered cars the reg is enough — we resolve the VIN automatically. For imports or unregistered vehicles, use the 17-character VIN.

Is service history available for BMW?

Yes — a digital service record PDF is available as a +£5.00 add-on for UK and European market BMWs.

Where does the data come from?

Directly from official manufacturer build records, keyed to your VIN — the same data a franchised BMW dealer sees. It can't be edited by a seller and doesn't rely on paperwork surviving.
